“ Adrian always goes the extra mile, which I find invaluable ”
Read what Guy had to say.
My name is Guy Jackson. I’ve been a client of WKM since about 2017/2018 and I’m looked after by Adrian Mee.
I contacted WKM because I was feeling increasingly frustrated and possibly fearful during a difficult economic period; I didn’t feel that I was getting the answers that I needed from my previous advisers.
I hoped that I could get a greater degree of proactivity from moving to a new adviser in a new period of my life.
Adrian had previously advised me some seven or eight years ago, and I’d always been quite happy with the advice that Adrian himself was giving, but more so, I think, because of the way that Adrian actually communicated and dealt with the problems that I thought that I had.
In many ways, yes, results are very important, but I think the interaction you have with your personal adviser is extremely important, and that has always been very positive with Adrian.
He actually goes the extra mile. He took the time and trouble to speak with one of my children who needed financial advice. Adrian doesn’t get anything for that, and he spoke to him on a number of different occasions. And it’s that degree of input that Adrian’s put into our relationship, which I really value and appreciate.
Working with Adrian and WKM has brought a greater degree of confidence and stability to the way that I feel about my personal finances. I feel that they listen to me and react to what I say rather than me sitting at the end of a phone call once every six months, and that degree of additional security is very important.
The three words I’d use to describe Adrian and his team are positive, reactive and professional.
The best thing about working with Adrian and the team, actually, is that I think that they care, which is perhaps an unusual thing to say about a financial adviser, because I’m not sure that they always give that impression, but actually, Adrian does.
The best piece of advice that Adrian’s probably given me over the last couple of years is that when it comes to larger items of expenditure that I want to make, he usually tells me it’s okay, you can afford it. The tendency when you get to my age, I think, is to try and hold on to your money a little bit instead of actually spending it. We’re here to live, not to sit and count the pennies.
I think I’d recommend WKM simply because I think they go the extra mile to work for their clients; certainly for me, I feel that. Also, to put the current economic stress into some sort of context, it’s a very worrying time for people who’ve got money invested.
