Celebrating Excellence: WKM Named Top 5 Boutique Advisor by The Financial Times
| Friday 26 September 2025 marks the proudest moment of my 25 year career.
WKM Wealth has been recognised by the Financial Times as one of the Top 5 Boutique Financial Advisers in the UK for 2025 through an independent award. To put this into context: 1. If you are a boxer you want to win a WBC title 2. If you are an athlete, you want to win an Olympic Gold 3. If you are a financial adviser, you want to win an FT Advisor award. This is our first official recognition by peers of our excellence in financial advice, primarily driven by our client retention, chartered status, client reviews, and employee professional development program. This honour is more than a trophy on the shelf. It’s a testament to the power of client referrals, the dedication of our team, and the collaborative spirit we’ve fostered with like-minded firms across the industry. A Shared VictoryBeing named in the FT Adviser Top 50 Boutique Advisers is a notable accomplishment. The FT independently selects firms over several months without a formal application process. Ranking fifth out of 4,000 highlights not only our performance but also the trust, teamwork, and collaboration that brought us here. This win isn’t just ours. It belongs to our clients, who have referred us repeatedly. It belongs to our team, who bring their best every day. And it belongs to the network of boutique firms we’ve partnered with, shared ideas with, and grown alongside. Client Referrals: The Heartbeat of Our GrowthAt WKM Wealth, we’ve never relied on flashy marketing or aggressive sales tactics. Instead, we’ve grown organically through the quiet power of word-of-mouth. In part this is why it is such a surprise for us to even by on the FTs radar. Our clients have always been our greatest advocates. When you refer someone to us, you’re not just passing on a name. You’re sharing a relationship, a sense of trust, and a belief in the value of personalised advice. That kind of endorsement is priceless. Referrals have helped us reach people who might never have considered financial advice. They’ve opened doors to conversations that matter. And they’ve allowed us to build a business rooted in authenticity and care. Our Staff: The Power Of A TeamAs a team we have strived to deliver the best outcome to clients every day and to improve our own knowledge within UK financial services and beyond. Each staff member has time to prepare for their upcoming exams via both time away from the office and in house learning on a variety of issues which affect our clients daily. While we work hard, you won’t find us in the office much past five o clock. It is important to stay until the work is done and we carry more resource than we need at any one point to ensure nothing is rushed so we carry a high line of quality. We allow staff to utilise a 30 day a year holiday entitlement to ensure they are fully refreshed to continue working hard when called upon. Collaboration: Strength in Shared ValuesOne of the most rewarding aspects of our journey has been the opportunity to collaborate with other boutique firms who share our values. These partnerships have enriched our thinking, expanded our capabilities, and helped us deliver even greater value to our clients. Whether it’s sharing best practices on compliance and client service or simply picking up the phone to talk through a challenge, these collaborations have made us stronger. We’ve worked alongside firms who, like us, believe in putting clients first. Firms who value transparency, integrity, and long-term relationships. Together, we’ve created a community of advisers who support one another, not as competitors, but as colleagues. Learning from Each OtherIn an industry that’s constantly evolving, staying ahead means staying connected. Through our partnerships, we’ve gained insights into new technologies, regulatory changes, and innovative approaches to client engagement. We’ve learned how others navigate complex client scenarios, how they structure their teams, and how they maintain excellence in service. And we’ve shared our own experiences in return. This spirit of mutual learning has been instrumental in shaping our approach. It’s helped us refine our processes, enhance our offerings, and stay true to our mission. Celebrating the Team Behind the SuccessAwards like this do not happen in isolation. They are the result of countless hours of dedication, collaboration, and care. A gradual compounding over time of the additional one percent effort everyone has put in. Every member of the WKM Wealth team plays a vital role. We are proud of our Chartered Financial Planner status, our commitment to clarity, and our belief that financial advice should feel like a relationship, not a transaction. Our team works together seamlessly, sharing knowledge, supporting one another, and always keeping the client at the centre. It’s this team approach that allows us to deliver consistent, high-quality advice. What’s Next for WKM Wealth?Recognition from the Financial Times is a milestone but it’s not the destination. We’re committed to continuing our journey, deepening our client relationships, and expanding our collaborative network. We’ll keep investing in our team, refining our services, and exploring new ways to add value. And we’ll keep listening to our clients, to our peers, and to the evolving needs of the world around us. A Thank You to Our Clients and PartnersTo our clients: thank you for your trust, your referrals, and your belief in what we do. You’ve helped us grow in the right way through relationships, not transactions. To our partner firms: thank you for your openness, your insights, and your shared commitment to excellence. You’ve shown us that collaboration isn’t just possible it’s powerful. Final Thoughts: Let’s Keep Building TogetherFinancial advice is about more than money. It’s about clarity, confidence, and connection. It’s about helping people make informed decisions and live the lives they want. As we celebrate this award, we’re reminded that success is never a solo act. It’s a team effort. It’s a community effort. And it’s a journey we’re proud to share with you. If you know someone who could benefit from our approach, we’d love to meet them. And if you’re a fellow adviser who shares our values, we’d love to connect. Together, we can keep raising the bar, for our clients, for our firms, and for the future of financial advice.
